Maud Wood Park (January 25, 1871 – October 21, 1955) was a leading American suffragist, educator, and political activist whose tireless efforts helped secure women’s right to vote in the United States. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Park became deeply involved in the women’s suffrage movement after graduating from Radcliffe College, dedicating her life to advancing gender equality in politics.
Park co-founded the College Equal Suffrage League, empowering young women to participate in political activism, and played a key role in the National American Woman Suffrage Association (NAWSA). Following the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920, she continued her work by helping establish the League of Women Voters, promoting civic engagement and political education among women nationwide.
