Saba Negahban, known as “Venus,” was killed on Friday, January 9, 2026, by direct fire from the regime’s suppressive forces.
Born in 2001, Saba began bodybuilding and fitness at the age of 19 and soon became a professional trainer in gyms across northern and northeastern Tehran.
Venus joined nationwide protests in the Gheytarieh neighborhood alongside friends and family members. Around 11:00 PM, while chanting slogans on Andarzgoo Boulevard, suppressive forces opened fire. Saba was shot in the back and fell to the ground.
As security forces closed in on the protesters, one of the officers approached Saba as she lay wounded on the ground and shot her at point-blank range in the throat, killing her instantly.
Saba (Venus) was the only child in her family and was 24 years old at the time of her martyrdom.
