I come from Palestine; I come from Jerusalem to you, from the heart of Al-Aghsa mosque and the uprising where blood sheds on the ground.
Today on March 8th, we must remember and ask ourselves, what we have done for women who live in tents and refugee camps? Also, what have we done for the women in Liberty?
We must return them. This is a big challenge and worth celebrating when the women of Liberty return to Ashraf… We women are the peacemakers, and we women are powerful. I am a Muslim and am proud to be a Muslim and proud to stand against religious fundamentalism anywhere.
We must always remember the sisters we have in Palestine that are imprisoned, captive, or martyred and the mothers of martyrs and captives. We must remember that in Syria and Camp Alzatari, resistant Syrian women refugees exist.
We must remember that in Cairo, Egypt there are women who suffer from religious fundamentalism. But we understand the extend of the crisis existing in Iran. We must stand against such examples of fundamentalism to be resistant women and fighters of freedom. It is women who make men partners and resistant and women who are partners in the struggle and decision making.
