The footage is one of multiple verified cases indicating a systematic use of lethal force against unarmed protesters
A Crime Against Humanity Under International Law
According to shocking reports that have leaked out of Iran, the deliberate targeting of women and girls protesting in the streets, aiming directly at their heads and hearts, has emerged as one of the most horrifying dimensions of the regime’s organized crackdown on recent demonstrations.
A verified video shows at least ten women and girls lying on the ground in a single scene, struck by fatal gunshots to the head, eyes, and heart.
The footage captures the lifeless or critically wounded bodies of women whose only “crime” was their presence in the streets and their participation in protests. All the women visible in the video are unarmed, and there is no evidence of any armed confrontation on their part.
“These Shots Were Not Random”: A Source Speaks Out
A source close to the case states: “These shots were not accidental. They were aiming precisely at the head and the heart. This was not about dispersing a crowd; they intended to kill.”
This video is just one example among dozens of similar cases reported from cities across Iran. Together, they reveal a consistent pattern: security forces firing at vital organs to ensure death. This was not excessive force; it was a systematic strategy designed to crush protests through terror and physical annihilation.
Snipers on Rooftops: Evidence of a Targeted Killing Policy
According to informed sources, snipers were deployed on rooftops, allowing them to fire with precision and without direct confrontation. Protesters were deliberately targeted in the head and chest, an unmistakable sign of a policy of targeted mass killing.
One eyewitness recounts, “That night, at least 100 people were shot by snipers from the tops of tall buildings. Only head and heart shots. There were no warning shots. No one was shot in the leg or the arm. Everything was designed to kill.”
Special Forces and the Fatemiyoun Brigade: No Mercy, No Distinction
Another witness described the moment the violence escalated: “When the special forces and the Fatemiyoun Brigade arrived, everything changed. They showed absolutely no restraint. They came to massacre people.”
The Fatemiyoun Brigade is a militia composed primarily of Afghan fighters, created, trained, and commanded by the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). It has been widely used by the Iranian regime in foreign conflicts, particularly in Syria, and its deployment inside Iran signals an extreme level of militarization and brutality.
The witness continues, “They didn’t care whether people were women or men, young or old. Protesters were sprayed with gunfire. They carried Uzi and Kalashnikov rifles. Most men were shot in the head, while women were targeted in the heart. It was a horrific scene. Tear gas was being fired continuously at the same time.”
Hospitals Overrun with the Dead: Testimonies from Medical Staff
The same witness adds, “Protesters managed to transport some of the wounded to Arash Hospital near Tehranpars Square. A friend told me that within just one hour, the bodies of around 120 protesters were brought to that hospital alone.”
A nurse recalls, “When 19 people with gunshot wounds arrived almost simultaneously, the medical staff were completely overwhelmed.”
A physician confirmed, “Many of those brought in were declared dead on arrival. Most had been shot from close range in the head, neck, lungs, or heart.”
A Crime Against Humanity Under International Law
The accumulated evidence makes one conclusion unavoidable: the targeting of heads and hearts was part of a deliberate, coordinated policy to massacre protesters. What unfolded during Iran’s nationwide protests in 2026 clearly constitutes a crime against humanity, involving widespread, systematic, and intentional killings of unarmed civilians.
Under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, the large-scale and systematic murder of civilians meets the legal definition of crimes against humanity and entails individual criminal responsibility throughout the chain of command.
Calls for Immediate International Action
The NCRI Women’s Committee urges the UN Human Rights Council, the UN Security Council, and the International Criminal Court in The Hague to take immediate action to halt the massacre of protesters and initiate criminal accountability against those responsible for ordering and carrying out this grave human tragedy.
