Iranian regime military forces launched a raid on the village of Akbarabad in Khash, arresting a pregnant woman, a young woman, and some other Baluch citizens.
In a violent raid early Tuesday morning, July 29, 2025, Iranian military and security forces stormed the village of Akbarabad in Khash County, southeastern Iran, arresting a pregnant woman, a young bride, and a number of undocumented Baluch citizens.
More than 20 military vehicles, several buses, and plainclothes agents participated in the coordinated assault on the village. According to local sources, dozens of residents—primarily from the Baluch ethnic minority and lacking official identity documents—were violently detained without being informed of any charges. Detainees, including the pregnant woman and young bride, were subsequently transferred to a detention camp in Zahedan.
Following the arrests, the military forces engaged in widespread destruction and looting. Eyewitnesses report that personal belongings were vandalized, motorcycles and private vehicles confiscated, and the contents of nearly 70 homes forcibly removed and loaded onto government trucks.
In conjunction with the operation, authorities reportedly cut off all internet access in the area, effectively silencing communications and delaying the dissemination of information regarding the detainees’ conditions. Families who attempted to bring food and water to their loved ones were blocked by security agents from delivering essential supplies.
This military operation constitutes not only a blatant violation of the basic rights of undocumented Baluch citizens but also underscores the regime’s disregard for fundamental human dignity, especially in the violent arrest of women—including a pregnant woman—under inhumane conditions.
