Lali Bameri, a 40-year-old Baluch woman and one of the victims of a deadly assault by the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) on the village of Gonich in Khash County, died in the early hours of Friday, July 4, 2025, in the hospital due to the severity of her injuries.
Lali Bameri (full name: Lal-Bibi Bameri), a mother of several children, succumbed to her wounds after three days in the intensive care unit of Khomeini Hospital in Khash.
She had been critically wounded by gunfire during the IRGC raid and was kept alive only with the help of dialysis machines, as both her kidneys had failed due to direct bullet impact. Medical staff had described her condition as “critical and beyond recovery” from the outset.
Lali Bameri was shot on Tuesday, July 1, during an IRGC raid on their village. In the same attack, another Baluch woman, Khan-Bibi Bameri, was killed by gunfire to the kidney, and at least eleven other women were injured.
According to eyewitnesses, the military operation involved armored vehicles, drones, unmarked license plates, and combat-grade weaponry.
Local reports indicate that the attack deliberately targeted residential homes — with a particular focus on women — in the village.
This incident is a stark example of the grave and systematic human rights violations committed by the Iranian regime, especially in Sistan and Baluchestan. The deliberate targeting of civilians, particularly women, underscores the urgent need for international attention and a decisive response from human rights organizations and global institutions.
