The doctor treating Shakila’s said her recovery period has ended and she has no problems in going on with her ordinary life. Despite all this, officials of the Ghiam School located in Karim Abadi of Kahrizak (southeast of Tehran) said to this girl’s parents they are no longer willing to accept their child in this school. This was a few days after the school year had begun for this first grader.
School authorities have responded to the protests of this girl’s mother in saying they are concerned of the reactions of Shakila’s kidney transplant.
Dariush Arman says this measure can lead to serious psychological pressures on the child’s family. These psychological problems can even lead to the failure of the transplanted kidney, which will be very dangerous.
