The misogynist regime ruling Iran continues to intimidate and force Iran’s defying women into the corners of their households. This is in continuation of the policy of crackdown on women and the Iranian government’s attempts to eliminate women from social activities.
Movahedi Kermani, Tehran’s Friday prayer imam, said in his speech on April 17th; “Take into consideration that uprooting the culture of blasphemy, polytheism, discord and sins is possible, and we can uproot improper hijab, which is not to be considered an ordinary crime but intertwined with national security,” he said.
“The mal-veiled may not realize it but they are insulting the Islamic Republic, because the country’s security relies on Islam. Thus, we must do something to resolve the problem of mal-veiling.”
Hassan Rouhani, Babol’s Friday prayer leader (northern Iran) admitted to the regime’s failure in their crackdown on women. Pointing to the issue of women entering sporting stadiums he stated, “As if women have no problems and the only thing left is for them to go to sports stadiums like men! It is very unfortunate that despite three decades of protesting, hijab and virtue are decreasing in our society, the country’s officials have neglected in this area.”
Hassan Amoli, the Friday prayer leader and Khamenei’s representative in Ardebil Province, stated that the pride of a woman is her role as a mother. Based on this mentality he protested children being placed in daycare centers and kindergartens, allowing women’s presence in society.
“We will suffer from the consequences of this in our society,” he added.
Meisam Nabai, in charge of Khamenei’s office in Kiyar corps, repeated these same remarks by stating, “The most important duty of a woman is to be a housewife, and to raise a very solid and strong generation to stand against arrogance, and for them to have knowledge and be committed.”
