Maryam Jalal Hosseini, a political prisoner incarcerated in the Fardis Prison in Karaj, also known as Kachouii Prison, faces dire circumstances due to her deteriorating health. Despite her poor physical condition, she has been denied proper medical care. An informed source close to her family confirmed this distressing situation.
Medical Neglect and Heavy Bail
Maryam has been suffering from kidney disease and other physical problems for several months. She urgently requires specialized treatment. However, prison authorities have prevented her from being sent to medical centers outside the prison for proper care.
Even medical leave is subject to a heavy bail, which her family cannot afford. This exacerbates concerns about her well-being. The pressures of imprisonment and interrogation have worsened her kidney disease, leaving her in a critical state.
Urgent Need for Medical Supervision
Maryam’s illness and kidney failure continue to progress due to the lack of adequate medical equipment within Kachouii prison. She should be under the supervision of a specialist doctor as soon as possible to prevent further deterioration.
