Female students ruthlessly assaulted, beaten, and abducted at night
Despite brutal crackdown on dozens of universities and dormitories on Saturday night (October 29), Iranian students rose up again on Sunday morning, October 30, 2022, and held protest demonstrations in some 40 universities across the country.
In a ceremony in Shiraz on Saturday morning, the IRGC Commander in Chief, Hossein Salami, had warned, “Today is the last day of riots. Don’t come to the streets anymore!”
In most universities, the students chanted, “This is year we’re going to overthrow Seyyed Ali (Khamenei) with our sacrifice!” “It’s not time for grief, but time to be angry,” and “Freedom, freedom, freedom!”
Students of the all-female Az-Zahra University chanted, “Khamenei, the bloodthirsty murderer, we’ll bring you down and bury you!”
The regime’s suppressive forces, the IRGC, Bassij, and plainclothes agents openly attacked the protesting students. They opened fire on students on the campus of the northern branch of Tehran’s Azad University, in the Girls’ School of Technology of Sanandaj, and at Tehran University’s School of Psychology in Gisha.
They attacked the students with tear gas and live ammunition but met firm resistance.
Students of the University of Kurdistan walked out of the school and marched in the streets of Sanandaj calling for Khamenei’s overthrow.
At the Sadra Azad University in Shiraz, students lined up against the Bassijis and chanted, “The man with a crippled hand (i.e., Khamenei) is the murderer of (pilgrims in) Shahcheraq.”
The students of Zanjan University also formed their own gathering and countered an orchestrated pro-regime demonstration.
High school students also continued their protests in Marivan, Bukan, Sanandaj, Shiraz, Tehran, etc.
In Tehran’s metro, women chanted, “The crippled Khamenei is the murderer of (the pilgrims of) Shahcheraq!”
Khamenei’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and plainclothes agents attacked dozens of universities and dormitories last night (Saturday). They used pellet guns, live ammunition, and tear gas, and abducted the students, particularly the female students.
The Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran urges the UN and other human rights authorities to form an independent delegation to visit the Iranian prisons to secure the release of thousands of protesters, including the incarcerated girls.
