Simultaneous with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the official twitter account of the mullahs’ supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, tweeted that he had donated 313 million toumans to compensate for the debts of prisoners held for financial reasons, so that they could be released.
Shima Silavi, an Arab girl from Ahwaz whose father, Yousef Silavi, was kidnapped by security forces eight years ago, replied to Khamenei’s tweet: “So, Ramadan is the month you release people with money problems? Which month (do) you release #political_prisoners? I’ll come back that month.”
