Human rights activist Neda Mostaghimi, a supporter of the ‘Mothers of Laleh Park’ movement in Tehran, was arrested at her office by security agents on May 4 and there has been no information of her whereabouts since.
It is said the apprehension of Ms. Mostaghimi is related to a 3-year jail sentence and to her arrest back in December 2010.
Ms. Mostaghimi was at a ceremony commemorating the birthday of Amir Arshad Tajmir in Tehran’s renowned Behesht-e Zahra cemetery at the time and because of that, was sentenced to three years in detention on charges of assembly and collusion with the intention of actions against national security. She was released on bail at a price of 1 billion rials (equal to around $20,000).
