In the early hours of Tuesday, July 1, 2025, the Gonich village, located in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, was the target of a violent and large-scale military assault by the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and other security forces of the Iranian regime.
The raid began at 5 a.m. and involved dozens of armored vehicles, aerial surveillance by military drones, and the deployment of heavily armed ground units. The operation was launched despite the complete absence of men in the village—only women and children were present at the time.
During the assault, 12 unarmed Baluch women were directly targeted by gunfire. Khan-Bibi Bameri was killed, and 11 others, ranging in age from teenage girls to middle-aged women, were injured. Among the wounded are:

- Saba Bameri (17)
- Esra Bameri (18)
- Fatemeh Bameri (26)
- Reyhaneh Bameri (21), who suffered a miscarriage following severe beatings
- Madineh Bameri (24)
- Rahm-Bibi Bameri (32)
- Sanj-Malek Bameri (45)
- Asal Bameri (20)
- Mohaddeseh Bameri (16)
- Mahtab Bameri (50)
- Lali Bameri (40)
All wounded women were transferred to medical facilities for treatment.
Footage from the scene provides clear evidence of the use of military-grade weaponry, including Kalashnikov and Kalakov rifles, along with the presence of drones and armored vehicles patrolling the narrow alleys of the village.
In some images, Baluch women are seen holding spent bullet casings in their hands—undeniable proof of what occurred.

In a post on her X account, Maryam Rajavi said: “The brutal attack by the Revolutionary Guards and the State Security forces on the defenseless women of Gonich village in Khash County, once again reveals the ugly face of the misogynistic clerical regime. At the same time, the brave resistance of Baluch women against the aggressors reflects the determination and strength of Iranian women in the fight against religious fascism.”
