Girl students of the Art University of Isfahan, central Iran, reacted by protest to the dormitory officials’ attempt to spy on the students on October 20, 2017.
Dormitory officials distributed forms requiring their parents’ consent for their interactions with friends. In this form, the students’ parents had to specify the names, addresses and phone numbers of friends and relatives with whom their daughters are allowed to call, meet or stay with.
The students tore up the papers to show their protest to the dormitory’s attempt to spy and control their social interactions under the pretext of parental consent.
