Ghazal Aghaei Lindi was killed on January 9, 2026, during nationwide protests, after being struck by live ammunition fired by the regime’s repressive forces in front of the Governor’s Office in Qal’eh Hasan Khan, Tehran.
Security forces were firing at protesters from the rooftop of a building. Ghazal was shot from behind; the bullet entered her back and exited through her abdomen. She was attempting to flee the scene alongside her father. Despite being immediately transferred to a medical clinic, she died due to severe internal and external bleeding.
Ghazal Aghaei Lindi was 28 years old and worked as a photographer. She was born on July 1, 1998, and was originally from Alasht village in Savadkuh, Mazandaran Province. She was living in Qal’eh Hasan Khan, Tehran, at the time of her death.
