A female physician died of coronavirus infection on Monday, March 30, 2020 in Tehran’s Moheb Kowsar Hospital. Dr. Niloufar Esmail Beigi was a general physician working in the Emergency Room.
Various regime officials have been speaking about the tremendous pressure on doctors, nurses and medical staff.
Mustafa Moin, head of the Supreme Council of the Medical System, wrote to the mullahs’ President, Hassan Rouhani: “The losses of a large number of the medical community, and the higher mortality of patients compared to other countries, will always remain as a shame.” Moin who was Minister of Science, Research and Technology in Rafsanjani and Khatami’s cabinets, added, “It is being warned that fatigue and the physical and mental toll on the medical staff, will threaten the quality of treatment for patients.”
He warned, “Pretending that the situation is normal and creating a false sense of security under the pretext of avoiding anxiety and stress could be dangerous, and consequences of stress are far less than the sudden exposure to a human catastrophe.”
In another news on Monday, March 30, 2020, a mother died after giving birth to her child, both of whom were infected with COVID-19.
It has also been reported that 28 of the residents of Qarchak, in Varamin, died of coronavirus infection on March 28, alone.
The Iranian Resistance has reported that as of Tuesday evening, March 31, 2020, over 14,700 Iranians have lost their lives to coronavirus infection in 237 cities across Iran.
In the meantime, Iranian women are endeavoring to overcome feelings of disappointment and despair and help their compatriots.
Ms. Shima, a first-grade teacher of Silavi school in Susangerd, has been teaching her students online for the past 14 days in two morning shifts. Then in the afternoon, she and 12 other women make sterilized face masks and distribute them free of charge among residents of Susangerd.
