A group of women gathered outside the Iranian parliament in Tehran to express their protest. They included teachers working on temporary contracts as well as women who had deposited money in the Caspian Depository Institute,
The depositors were outraged at Caspian Institute’s failure to pay back their deposits. They demand determination of this situation by the Central Bank.
The contract teachers also demanded determination of their employment status and payment of their salaries and stipend by the Education Ministry. (The state-run ISNA news agency – May 23, 2017)
