A young girl by the name of Zahra Abadiyan, 14, hanged herself in the city of Mahshahr. An informed source said her parents had divorced. After her father re-married, the young girl was unhappy with her step-mother and moved to her brothers’ home.
After enduring many problems with one of her brothers and feeling hopeless, the young girl sent an SMS and hanged herself on 23 September. Fear, disappointment and hopelessness, have resulted in an increase in the number of suicides among women in Iran under the mullahs’ rule.
