Deputy of Haj and Pilgrimage Organization, Naser Khadar Nezhad, said that women under 45 cannot participate in any Haj ceremony alone and said: “The directives to deploy such women to Haj has been written to one of their ‘Mahram’ male relatives and has been announced in all provinces.
He said: “These women can go on pilgrimage with one of their ‘Mahrams’ such as brother, son-in-law, husband, nephew and etc. however, overall no visa to enter Saudi Arabia will be issued for any single women in the mentioned age.”
