Students of Maragheh University (northwest Iran) held a ceremony commemorating a fellow girl student who had committed suicide 40 days ago by taking rice pills on October 21, 2015.
Razieh Shokraneh was a sophomore student of Applied Chemistry at the School of Basic Sciences of Maragheh. She was under a lot of pressure from university officials and had been summoned repeatedly by the intelligence office at the university. She committed suicide at her dormitory called Vali-Asr. She died at hospital due to severe poisoning
