A plan organized to confront clothing store owners under the pretext of “non-Islamic and repulsive clothing” has been placed on police agenda in Iran.
According to the state-run Tasnim news agency, “The Director General of the Organization of State-Sanctioned Punishments reported of a plan to take action against clothing stores in Alborz Province.”
“Selling improper clothing is equal to smuggling, and this plan has been on our agenda ever since 17 November,” an official said.
“From this date on, any store owner selling such clothing will be regarded as opposing Islamic customs and punishments considered by lawmakers will be implemented,” he added.
