The gender segregation regulations imposed in Isfahan’s Dowlat Abad University since 2013 continues to expand.
“First, they separated the boys from girls in classes, now they are putting up fences in the campus. This will be done in other universities as well,” one student said.
Gender segregation plans in universities has disrupted all educational systems. During this term practically 1,700 students were not able to choose their field of study.

We work extensively with Iranian women outside the country and maintain a permanent contact with women inside Iran. The Women’s Committee is actively involved with many women’s rights organizations and NGO’s and the Iranian diaspora.
The committee is a major source of much of the information received from inside Iran with regards to women. Attending UN Human Rights Council meetings and other international or regional conferences on women’s issues and engaging in a relentless battle against the Iranian regime’s misogyny are part of the activities of members and associates of the committee.
