The cell of Negar Haeri, a political prisoner was brutally raided by male prison guards. Gharchak Prison in Varamin is a women’s prison, yet male guards raided the prisoner. While searching the cell, they confiscated her notes and carried out a humiliating body search on her. They also threatened Ms. Haeri that if she passes the news to the media she will be placed under more pressure.
Negar Haeri, is suffering from eye infection as a result of the terrible hygienic conditions of Gharchak prison. However, the Intelligence Ministry interrogators prevent her from getting treatment and in response to her protest, she was told: “We will make you die her like a dog.”
