NCRI – December 7, 2007 – The mullahs’ regime has created a new suppressive force called the “Special Police Station Women.” The news was announced by Fariba Shygan, a women commander and the head of Kosar Higher Education Institute, belonging to the State Security Forces (SSF), the official news agency IRNA reported on Wednesday.
In a meeting at the institute, Brig. Gen. Mohammad Rafinia, head of the SSF Military Skills University, and Brig. Gen. Ahmad Mohammadi Far, deputy commander of SSF Public Security and Shygan welcomed the formation of the new women’s police station in other cities across the nation and called for a similar plan in the capital.
Mohammadi Far said, “Using women police in various SSF missions is inevitable. Today, we are using these women in all of the SSF departments.”
“Using women police in some of the SSF missions have been very practical,” said Rafinia on the creation of the new stations.
NCRI’s Women’s Committee Chair Ms. said that forming new special police station and other suppressive measures against Iranian women by the mullahs’ regime is designed to undermine the role women have in the popular uprisings in Iran.
