Tina Delju has a Ph.D. in political science and lectured at Azad University
In the morning of Monday, January 29, 2024, Tina Delju was transferred to the Central Prison of Rasht (Lakan Prison) to serve her one-year sentence.
Tina Delju has a Ph.D. in political science. She was a civil and social activist and taught in Azad University.
In December, the 3rd branch of the Revolutionary Court of Rasht sentenced Tina Delju to one year in prison for disseminating “propaganda against the state.”
The Office of the Implementation of Verdicts in Rasht summoned Ms. Delju on January 29, and arrested her upon reporting to the office.
In step with the staggering rise in executions, the clerical regime has escalated the arrest and detention of activists and relatives of slain protesters.
Forcible Disappearance of Ayat Abyat
There is also concern about the wellbeing of Ayat Abyat who was abducted on January 1, 2024, and taken to an undisclosed location.
An Arab citizen from Hamidiyeh, in the southwestern Khuzestan province, Ayat is 19 years old.
Her brother, Mohammad Amin, is serving 15 years in prison for his political activities. Inquiries by Ayat’s family have led nowhere, and they are extremely concerned about her condition.
