Three instances of femicide in Mashhad, Shiraz, and Zabol
The body of a young woman was found in Bahar village of Mashhad after two weeks.
Hadis Eslami, 26, was a camerawoman from Mashhad who shot films for wedding ceremonies. Her mother and husband had reported her missing since October 21, 2023.

Hadis’s husband had shot her in the head.
In another horrific incident, a man murdered his wife and daughter in Shiraz, the capital of the southern Fars Province.
The state-run news agency ILNA reported on Tuesday, November 7, that a 46-year-old man had used a cold weapon to kill his wife, 36, and his daughter, 8 years old. The man was arrested in the vicinity of the place of the incident and handed over to the judiciary.
In yet another incident in Zabol, in the southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, a man shot his 16-year-old wife on the street. She was shot in the side. Although she was taken to a hospital immediately, she lost her life due to the severity of the wounds.
Femicide is one of the most vicious forms of violence against women, which has become all too common under the mullahs’ misogynistic laws in Iran.
The Iranian regime’s failure to criminalize domestic violence and violence against women has led to the spread of femicide, honor killings, and murder of innocent children by their fathers, husbands, and other male relatives.
The NCRI Women’s Committee appeals to the UN Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women to investigate these cases and hold the regime accountable for its failure to protect defenseless women.
