Text of remarks at Free Iran – The Alternative, gathering
Villepinte, Paris – June 30, 2018
Dears, sisters and brothers of the Iranian resistance,
I am happy that I have been with you, with utmost sincerity, for more than 10 years.
I would like to declare that today, in this gathering, I can see your eyes glistering with hope and delight.
During the last 10 years, I had not witnessed such hopefulness and euphoria. As far as the ruling velayat-e-faqih regime in Iran is concerned, their time is over.
Today the children of Iran; women, men, youths and kids from diverse ethnicities and religions are taking to the streets without losing their hope.
Their weapon is their voices, not tanks or nuclear weapons. They all chant one thing; they call for freedom of Iran, without the clerical regime.
I declare that we stand with the cause of the Iranian Resistance. Victory is at hand and the signs of clerical regime’s downfall are at sight.
The clerical regime no longer has any credibility.
