Bosena Kaminska, Member of Parliament from Poland
Remarks at IWD conference on “Women Force for Change, Iran Uprising and Women’s Role”
Paris – February 17, 2018
Thank you very much.
I want to greet all of you on behalf of all Polish women.
Ladies and gentlemen, dear friends,
From here, I salute all the women in the Iranian Resistance who are fighting against this brutal, repressive regime.
Madam President, dear friends,
I have no doubt that the Iranian Resistance is a profoundly democratic movement because the basic principle in this movement is equal rights for women in all areas of life.
It’s very important to me that the Iranian women’s struggle, led by President-elect Maryam Rajavi, is the true flag-bearer of democracy and freedom of choice for women to choose their clothing, and oppose the compulsory veil.
This makes our ranks more united.
Now, our brave sisters and the people in Iran are standing against fundamentalist mullahs. They take a great risk. We cannot and should not leave our sisters alone in their quest to put an end to the religious dictatorship. We have to be their voice.
I thank you, all. Thank you very much.
