A group of Iranian women gathered in the morning of March 8, 2018, outside the Labor Ministry in Tehran to honor the International Women’s Day.
The gathering at the intersection of Azadi and Behboudi avenues was violently attacked by security forces.
At least 20 women were arrested when security forces brutalized the participators with batons and electric shockers. A number of men who protested the violence were also arrested and taken to an unknown location.
