The case of a prominent player of the national women’s futsal team of Iran is still open and might lead to a death sentence.The futsal player collided with and killed a police officer in the Narmak neighborhood on her way home on May 13, 2017.
The player is currently free on bail, but the victim’s father wants a retribution sentence for her. “I have asked the judge to issue the death penalty… The girl was not in a normal state and I want her to be taken to the gallows,” the father of the police officer said.
