Political prisoner Golrokh Ebrahimi Iraee wrote a letter to Zeinab Jalalian on the eleventh year of her imprisonment and reiterated on the certainty of her freedom. She wrote in her letter,
“I start the spring thinking of the 11th spring you are behind the bars. And I think of your endurance, of your lengthy solitary confinements, and psychological and physical torture you underwent and endured…. I think of your beautiful eyes which remain untreated… You are the symbol of a generation that still breathes and is still alive despite repression and suppression…
“Let them take away our children from our bosoms (like they did to Maryam Akbari Monfared)… Let them raid our homes…
“We are standing on the right side of the history. Dear Zeinab, even if they distort our image… tomorrow is ours and tomorrow is going to be a better day.”
