“75% of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients in Iran are women.”
This was announced by Mohammad-Hadi Ayyazi, social deputy to the Ministry of Health.
Noting that there are 60,000 people currently suffering from MS across Iran, he added: MS usually affects people between 17 and 40 years of age. Tehran’s 36 MS patients in 1977 has swelled to 17,000 today.
Stress and anxiety are main contributors to MS.
