Based on a research done in four provinces and in south Tehran and a national research, 66 per cent of Iranian women have experience violence.
Shahla Moazami, a university professor, said this in a meeting on Elimination of Violence Against Women. She added that less than one-third of the victims were willing to report the incidents of violence.
Another expert, Farideh Taha, asserted in this meeting: For the time being, we have no laws to prevent domestic violence.
