Mrs. Homa Dashti, mother of martyred Mojaheds Hood and Fariba Dashti, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the age of 79.
Mrs. Dashti always supported the opposition PMOI movement since the mullahs took power in Iran and aided her combatant children in all stages of struggle against this regime.
Her son Hood Dashti was executed in February 1981 and her daughter Fariba Dashti was executed during the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988.
Mrs. Dashti also lost two of her nephews, her niece and her son-in-law under the clerical regime. She was arrested and imprisoned several times but never gave in to the intimidations and harassments by the regime and was always supportive of the movement.
The Iranian Resistance’s President-elect extended her condolences on Mrs. Dashti’s demise and described her as an example of resistance of Iranian mothers in standing up to the ruling religious tyranny.
