Doctors and nurses of Nezam Mafi Hospital in Shoush, southwestern province of Khuzistan, have been on strike since August 17th in protest to non-payment of their past-due salaries. They only attend to the emergency patients.
On Tuesday, August 18th, officials told the nurses and doctors that part of their salaries will be deposited for them, but the protesters have not confirmed receipt of the money deposited, yet.

We work extensively with Iranian women outside the country and maintain a permanent contact with women inside Iran. The Women’s Committee is actively involved with many women’s rights organizations and NGO’s and the Iranian diaspora.
The committee is a major source of much of the information received from inside Iran with regards to women. Attending UN Human Rights Council meetings and other international or regional conferences on women’s issues and engaging in a relentless battle against the Iranian regime’s misogyny are part of the activities of members and associates of the committee.
