A former official of the clerical regime admitted that “more than 77 per cent of Iranian women who are between 15 and 49 years of age, enjoy a great potential for activity in social, economic and political arenas” but they have not been recruited as much as they should have.
The former minister of science, Jafar Tofighi Darian, said, “Our country enjoys an equal number of educated women as it does of men, but the rate of employment for women is very pale compared to world averages, indicating that educated women have not been employed as much as they deserved.”
