State-run news agencies reported recent remarks made against women by the Fars Province public prosecutor. This state official stipulated: “Those men or women who do not abide by hijab regulations should not be allowed into government offices.
Or they should provide chadors for women at the entrance of such offices! The governorate must instruct all institutes to assign a hijab committee and actions will be taken against those institutes that do not abide by these rules!”
