Seyed Kamal Heidary, a senior mullah in Iran, said in response to the question: “Are temporary marriages with [Muslim] women and women of other religions allowed?”
“Temporary marriages with [Muslim] women is allowed, but not with dissident women (non-Shiites). Permanent marriages are allowed with dissident women (non-Shiites) on the condition that it does not damage individual religious beliefs.”
