Negin Ghadimi was killed during nationwide protests in Shahsavar after being shot directly with live ammunition by Iranian regime security forces on January 9, 2026.
According to reports, she succumbed to injuries in her father’s arms after being struck by the bullet.
Negin Ghadimi, 28, was from Tonekabon and a biotechnology student. She had traveled with her family to Shahsavar (Tonekabon) for a short visit when she was fatally shot during the nationwide protests. While in her father’s arms, she said, “Dad, I’m burning.”
Because of her father’s job, Negin spent parts of her life living in various Iranian cities, including Bandar Abbas, Arak, and Sari. She was interested in sports, swimming, and painting, and was known as an active student in her field.
