Nazli Janparvar, from Bojnurd, was shot and killed by security forces using live ammunition during protests on January 8, 2026.
Before going out to the streets, Nazli Janparvar had written the following message:
“The words of Iran’s children — those on the streets — are clear: fight, fight, until freedom.
Freedom means Kurds, Lurs, Turks, and Persians; women with and without hijab; believers and non-believers; people of every ideology, living together side by side, freely, without the existence of an Islamic government. That’s it.
For now, the only goal is the overthrow of this regime. The question of governance can be resolved through dialogue afterward. Stop flaunting your differences in these conditions. What we need now is unity and solidarity. For now, only one thing matters: the dismantling of this regime.”
