On April 16, 2025, a significant conference titled “The Need for a Correct Policy on Iran” was held at the Italian Parliament. The event saw the participation of several members from both the Italian Senate and the Chamber of Deputies and featured Maryam Rajavi, who addressed the conference virtually.
During the session, lawmakers strongly condemned the regime’s intensifying wave of executions and voiced their support for Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan for a democratic Iran.
One of the most impactful moments came from Senator Gisela Naturale, Vice President of the Senate’s Industry Commission, who spoke on behalf of the women in Parliament. She offered solidarity with the courageous women of the Iranian Resistance:
“I want to emphasize the responsibility each of us carries in defending a basic human right: the right to freedom, and the right to be free from oppression — oppression that has persisted for decades.
“It was deeply painful for me to learn that the number of executions in Iran has increased by 43% compared to last year. The situation is worsening, and that is absolutely unacceptable.
“As the only female speaker in today’s session, I feel a strong responsibility to represent the women of the Italian Parliament, and to express our solidarity with all the brave women of the Iranian Resistance.
“I also want to thank you for your unwavering fight to defend the rights that are fundamental for all of us.”
