A group of girl student staged a protest outside the Ministry of Sciences in Tehran. The protesters were applicants for Masters of Science in Business Management and were protesting reduced admissions in this field for academic year 2017-2018.
Some of the students had come from Isfahan and Zanjan provinces to join the protest.
One of the protesters said, “In the wake of a student gathering last week when our representative met with officials of the Ministry of Science, they promised to resolve this problem before the registration deadline…, however, the problem has not been resolved, yet.” (The state-run Tasnim news agency, June 17, 2017)
