Evin Prison officials summoned Ms. Raheleh Rahemi-pour to the Prosecutor’s Office on Monday, August 15, 2016. Ms. Rahemi-pour has five days to report.
Ms. Rahemi-pour has been following up to find her disappeared niece, Golrou Rahemi-pour, who was separated from her imprisoned mother in spring 1984 when she was only a few days old. Three decades on, there is still no trace of Ms. Rahemi-pour’s niece.
The UN Working Group of Forced Disappearances has listed Golrou Rahemi-pour and her father as victims of forced disappearances and urged the Iranian regime to respond in this regard.
