Nurses are continuing their protests in various Iranian cities. A number of students of Hamedan Medical Sciences University held a rally on 5 August, protesting recent plans presented by Rouhani’s Health Ministry. According to this plan the wages of nurses are to be paid only based on the number of hours at work. In practice, however, they will be deprived of their most basic rights.
In Tabriz, nurses from two branches of Razi Hospital rallied and protested the Health Ministry’s plan. This is their third rally held in the past month.
Nurses in Gorgan (northern Iran) also held protests. Nurses of 5th Azar Hospital held a rally and expressed their outrage regarding the Health Ministry’s plan.
