Fundamentalism is born out of the interests of countries which have occupied Syria, like the Iranian regime that has devoted forces and resources to Syria at the expense of the Iranian people. The Iranian regime supports tyrannical regimes and gives them anything they need, militarily, economically, etc. to suppress their own people. They are also skilled in transforming revolutions into sectarian wars that is presently going on in Syria.
