The Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has published a statement naming 11 supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) who were arrested during April, May, and June 2026.
The whereabouts and condition of some of those arrested remain unknown. The NCRI states that they are presumably being subjected to interrogation and torture.
Among those named is a woman, Ghazal Sayyadi, 38, from Tehran. She was arrested by regime security forces in Andisheh, Tehran Province, in June 2026, and her current whereabouts and condition remain unknown.
Four of those arrested are fathers of one or two children. Four are between 18 and 21 years old. One of those arrested holds a PhD in art, another has a bachelor’s degree, and one is a student at the University of Tabriz.
Amid growing fears of renewed unrest and increasing support among young people for pro-freedom protesters and the Resistance Units, the clerical regime has intensified mass arrests, alongside a continuing wave of executions and mounting pressure on the families and supporters of the PMOI.
The Iranian Resistance has called on the United Nations, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the UN Special Rapporteur to hold the Iranian regime accountable for the condition and treatment of those detained and to demand access to the places where they are being held.
