The agents of the Intelligence Ministry have used Mrs. Emamdoust’s husband, a member of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), as a lever of pressure and torture against her.

Political prisoner Yalda Emamdoust, a marathon runner and champion in Isfahan, is 49 years old, born in Ilam, and a mother of two children. She was arrested once in 2019 for writing anti-regime graffiti on walls and spent several months in prison.
She was arrested and tortured once again on May 31, 2020. She was detained in solitary confinement in Dowlat Abad prison for two months and interrogated.
The Revolutionary Court of Isfahan has sentenced Yalda Emamdoust to 10 years in prison for “assembly and collusion” and “propaganda against the state.”
According to an informed source, Yalda Emamdoust was reported to security forces by her husband, a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). She committed suicide once in prison.
