Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran strongly condemns the murder of Mahsa Amini, 22, by the repressive forces of the mullahs’ misogynist regime
Mahsa Amini (Zhina), a 22-year-old woman from Saqqez, Kurdistan Province, who had traveled to Tehran with her family, was arrested on Tuesday, September 13, at the entry of Haqqani Highway by the Ershad suppressive forces (Guidance Patrol) and transferred to the repressive agency known as “Moral Security”.
Protesting against her arrest, she was severely beaten by the security forces, and due to the severity of her injuries, she was taken to Kasra Hospital in Tehran. After examining Mahsa, doctors declared that she had suffered a heart attack and brain death at the same time. It is claimed that Mahsa’s brain death was due to the fracture of her skull following the heavy blows to her head.
In fear of the public reaction to this barbaric crime, Ebrahim Raisi ordered his Minister of Interior Ahmed Vahidi to follow up and investigate this incident.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), expressed her deepest sympathies with the family of Mahsa Amini and stated that the mullahs’ misogynist regime takes more victims among Iranian women and girls every day. The brutal beating of Mahsa by the suppressive forces arouses the anger and disgust of every human being. The oppression of the mullahs and the Revolutionary Guards will be crushed by the resistance of the Iranian women. We must counter this regime with all our might.
The Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran calls on the UN Human Rights Council and all women’s rights organizations and activists to condemn this barbaric crime and not compromise with this misogynistic regime.
