Nowruz 1401 message from Gianna Gancia, MEP from Italy – March 2022
Greetings!
I would like to extend my best wishes to the Iranian people for Nowruz and especially to my friends in Ashraf 3. Hello to all of you watching right now.
The New Year is celebrated on the first day of spring. This year is meaningful as I understand it will be a start of a new century, year 1401 in Persian. This will be the start of a significant year as I believe the dream of millions of Iranians who are being deprived from their basic rights by a medieval regime for over four decades will come true. They are tirelessly organizing themselves in resistance units all over Iran, courageously focusing on their goal to liberate their own country.
I truly hope in the coming Persian New Year we will witness a new era in the history of Iran where tyranny will end and peace and prosperity with reign over your country and the world over.
I wish Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the leader of the democratic Iranian Opposition and a friend, who I have known for many years, much strength and success. I would like to tell her that we are with you until your people realize their ultimate goal, which is change for a free and democratic Iran. We will do all that we can to support the Iranian people and their legitimate rights from the European Parliament.
You know it but I will renew my call on the advent of the New Year that you can always count on me!
