Hundreds of women and men plundered by state-backed credit institutes gathered December 17, 2017, outside the Judiciary’s building in Tehran upon a previous call.
Protesters, consisting of people plundered by Caspian, Alborz-e Iranian and Afzal-e Tous institutions, demanded prosecution of the Central Bank’s President, Valiollah Saif.
Furious protesters chanted death to Rouhani, the mullahs’ president, and death to Saif, demanding justice and end to state backed fraud.
The State Security forces intervened and cracked down on the protestors. Their brutality against women was particularly remarkable.
Another protest gathering was held on Saturday, December 16, 2017. People plundered by Velayat Credit Institute gathered in Shahriar, located west of Tehran Province, to demand their pilfered money.
